Description
The Disney Store - Fantasia Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey Mouse and Brooms Character Display Figures Group of 3 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s-2000s). Offered is a magnificent group of rare Disney Store character display figures recreating Mickey's famous Sorcerer's Apprentice scene from Fantasia. In this scene, Mickey Mouse is attempting to get Yen Sid's brooms to do his work. It's been said that the role of the Sorcerer's Apprentice is Mickey's greatest role. These pieces served as actual displays in The Disney Store and were never sold to the general public. Incredibly popular with customers, these oversized characters inspired the highly collectible Disney Big Figs which were sold exclusively through Disney retail stores, parks, and catalogs throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. This group of painted fiberglass figures includes Mickey at 38" x 15" and two brooms measuring roughly 28" x 12". The water buckets measure about 12" x 7". These very rare store props exhibit typical wear as expected from years of use. Despite the chips, scuffs and scratches, they present beautifully and are real conversation pieces. The buckets and cleaning kit were designed to be removed from the broom's hands. Overall condition is Fair to Good.Auction Info
