Roy O. Disney Signed Contract (Walt Disney, 1953). Roy O. Disney was the co-founder of The Walt Disney Company along with his more famous brother, Walter. While Walt was the creative man, Roy was the one who made sure the company was financially stable; although Roy did make one creative suggestion. It was Roy's suggestion to his brother Walt that he add a soundtrack to his second Mickey Mouse cartoon, Steamboat Willie. Roy became the company's first CEO in 1929. He also shared the role of chairman of the board with Walt from 1945. Roy became the president of Walt Disney Productions on December 15, 1966, and remained so until 1968. In this lot we have the last page of a contract signed by Roy Disney, dated April 3, 1953. The contract also bears the embossed seal of the Walt Disney Company. The contract measures 8.25" x 11.25" and is in a frame of 13.5" x 16.25". Frame sold as-is. Very Good condition. From the MacLaughlin Family Disney Collection.
