Walt Disney Studio Christmas Card Group of 10 (Walt Disney, c. 1940s-50s/80s). Spectacularly rare, here is a marvelous collection of Walt Disney Studio Christmas Cards featuring the wonderful printed artwork of several celebrated Disney artists. The earliest of these fantastic pieces is from the year 1945, created from artwork by Hank Porter. Included in this lot are the Christmas cards for 1949, 1950 and 1951 with artwork by John Hench and Mary Blair, and one from 1953 by an uncredited Disney Studio artist. This lot also includes the Christmas cards from 1981 by Paul Wenzel and Willie Ito, 1981 by an unknown artist, 1982 by Paul Wenzel and Clem Hall, 1983 by John Jensen, and one additional unknown labeled Walt Disney Productions. Most of these wonderful cards can be seen in the book From All of Us to All of You: The Disney Christmas Card by Jeff Kurtti. The cards range in size from 4" x 8" to 7.75" x 10.25". A wonderful set, the cards show varying degrees of handling and edge wear, and some show light debris and surface scuffing.
