Walt Disney Collectibles - RARE Song of the South 60th Anniversary "Laughing Place" Jumbo Big Figure by Kevin and Jody (Walt Disney, 2006). Presented in this lot is a mighty "satisfactual" very rare "Jumbo" Big Figure created for the 60th anniversary of Walt Disney's Song of the South! This commemorative mixed media piece was designed by artists Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily, and depicts crafty Br'er Rabbit leading Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear to his "Laughing Place," in a scene inspired by the "Laughin' Place" musical sequence featured in the motion picture. Composed of painted resin and metal, this piece features a delicate sculpt and carefully applied color palette and has title information underneath the base. This piece was released during the Fall of 2006, sold out and "retired", and has been sought by fans and collectors ever since. Measuring 18" x 9.5" x 12.5", this "Jumbo" (half-size) sculpt is in Very Good condition, with small amounts of surface wear, and requires minor repair to the coated "rope" end for Brer Rabbit to stay in his support.Auction Info
