A legend about a sorcerer who had an apprentice." The Walt Disney Gallery celebrated the most famous segment of Walt Disney's Fantasia with this Mickey Mouse "Sorcerer's Apprentice" Big Figure! Disney Big Figures debuted in 1989 with a simple release of the "Disney Standard Characters" Mickey, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy. However, retail Disney retail branches expanded the collection with exclusive and limited-edition figure releases through The Disney Store, The DisneyCatalog, and Disney Parks, resulting in these impressive "retired" figurines being highly sought after. This resin figure depicts Yen Sid's apprentice poised to direct the stars and planets as seen in the motion picture, brought to life with a faithful sculpt and carefully applied color palette inspired by the short musical segment. Released through The Disney Store and Disney Gallery in 1999, this piece was sold out and "retired", and has long since been sought after by fans and collectors.
