Description

The Stan Freberg Show 15 Radio Scripts Bound Volume (CBS, 1957). The Stan Freberg Show debuted on CBS radio on July 14, 1957, airing on Sunday evenings 7:30 - 8 o'clock. It was the replacement for Jack Benny's radio show. It featured Stan along with his regular performers including June Foray and Daws Butler, and had Billy May handling musical arrangements. The show became a part of history, in that Stan would not accept any cigarette advertising or sponsorships. In fact, he would parody those type of products within the show. This is his personal bound copy of scripts for 15 shows, all hand-typed, dating from Show #1 7/14 /57 - Show #15 10/20/57. Leather bound book has a gold Stan Freberg name stamped on the cover. Book measures 8.5" x 11". The binding has begun to let go, but all pages are still intact. Good condition. From the Stan Freberg Collection.
