The Simpsons 4-Player Arcade Game by Konami (Fox, 1991). This rare Simpsons-themed arcade game by Konami is a highly sought-after collectible, celebrated as one of the top three best-selling arcade games of 1991. This four-player "beat 'em up"-style game measures 37" x 39" x 70" and weighs approximately 250 lbs., making it a centerpiece for any collector's arcade setup. It was the first video game based on The Simpsons franchise released in North America. Players control Homer, Marge, Bart, or Lisa as they fight hordes of enemies to rescue the kidnapped Maggie. The story begins when the Simpsons accidentally collide with Smithers, who has just stolen a diamond for Mr. Burns. The diamond ends up in Maggie's mouth, prompting Smithers to abduct her. The Simpsons battle their way across eight stages, each featuring a strong boss, before defeating Mr. Burns in his mobile battle suit at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. The game features the voices of the original cast-Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, and Yeardley Smith-adding authenticity to this classic arcade experience. While this machine is in Fair condition, with dust, debris, surface scuffs and scratches from age, it is currently non-functional and sold as-is, needing service.
