The Disney Store - Alice in Wonderland, the Door Knob, Mad Hatter, and March Hare Character Props Group of 4 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s-2000s). "Let's all congratulate us with another cup of tea. A very merry unbirthday to you!" This is a rare set of four Disney Store figures based on Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland. The Mad Hatter and his best friend, the March Hare, are known for throwing frequent tea parties in celebration of their "unbirthdays". According to the Hatter, he and the March Hare never get compliments on their singing, and are usually the only party-goers at their frequent unbirthday parties. Presented in this lot is an amazing display of character props from The Disney Store, recreating this famous scene from Walt Disney's 13th animated feature film, Alice in Wonderland. The assortment includes Alice holding half of a tea of cup (29" x 22"), the talking Door Knob who serves as the entrance to Wonderland (8" x 4"), the March Hare with the unbirthday cake (36" x 19"), and the Mad Hatter pouring tea from his teapot (33" x 25"). These fiberglass props were actual display pieces in The Disney Store and were never sold to the public. Incredibly popular with customers, these character displays inspired the highly collectible Disney Big Figs which were sold exclusively through Disney retail stores, parks, and catalogs throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. As expected, these very rare store props exhibit typical wear from their use and removal. Exhibiting some paint chips, scuffs and scratches as expected, these highly prized Disney props will look amazing at your next unbirthday party.
