Description

Stan Freberg Photo and Promotional Album Group (c. 1960s). This is a rare Stan Freberg photo that was used for a Variety ad to advertise Stan Freberg's Company. The bottom reads "Stan Freberg... Because." This photo was used for the elaborate 1990s Rhino box set liner notes booklet. The photo was taken on the grounds of the Estate of Harold Lloyd. Harold Lloyd had in his will that he wanted Stan to be a pallbearer at his funeral. The 18" x 23" photo is faded; it is in a gold tone wood frame measuring 27" x 34". The frame has nicks and scratches. With this photo are two Stan Freberg LTD vinyl record albums. These are albums he would use as a tool to find new advertising clients; they were never offered for sale to the public. Each one has the "Great Seal of Freberg, Ltd." on them. This logo was designed by Saul Bass for Stan's company in 1958. It was also used on his company stationery. The logo translates to "Art for Money's Sake." The two albums are Good condition.
