Description
RARE Vintage Pie-Eyed Mickey Mouse Bisque (Walt Disney, c. 1930s). Here's a "pie-eyed" Mickey Mouse bisque. The unglazed porcelain figure features Mickey with a baseball glove and ball. The figure was part of a three-piece set of Mickey baseball players. The 2.5" bisque was hand-painted in Japan and has Mickey Mouse across the front of his blue shorts. Across Mickey's backside is Walt E. Disney. Walt stopped using the "E" in 1937. Exceedingly rare! George Borgfeldt & Co. was licensed by Walt E. Disney to produce these early products that typically featured long nose, pie-eye Mickeys. In Good vintage condition with wear, paint chips and scuffs as expected for a vintage piece like this.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
