Peanuts Apollo 17 NASA "Contamination Control" Poster and Signed Ceramic Snoopy (Charles Schulz/NASA, 1972). Charles Schulz was a huge fan of the American Space Program and Snoopy was a NASA mascot for the space program and was seen on uniform patches at NASA. Schulz even designed the "Silver Snoopy Award" -- a sterling silver pin of Snoopy, for a NASA Achievement Award. This lot has a rare Schulz-designed NASA "Contamination Control" Poster, a NASA in-house poster measuring 21" x 16" with a NASA code printed in the bottom right corner. Also included is a ceramic Snoopy that looks to have been done as an Apollo 17 Launch Crew Gift. It is signed by the NASA Launch Crew Employees. The signatures are under the glaze and not fresh on top of the ceramic. The Snoopy measures 6.5" tall and has more than 35 signatures all over. Snoopy ears have "Apollo 17" and "Launch Crew" printed on them. Apollo 17 was the final NASA mission to the moon, that launched on 12/7/72. A great lot that showcases Charles Schulz's love affair with the US Space Program. Both are in Fine condition.
