Description
Neon Genesis Evangelion Asuka Figure Group of 2 (Gainax, 2004/06). Featuring the fan-favorite character of the groundbreaking series Neon Genesis Evangelion and pilot of Eva Unit 02, Asuka Langley Sohryu, this is a fantastic set of 2 figurines. One of these fantastic pieces is an excellent alternate-design figure with the title Wonda-chan Loves Evangelion. It was created for the 2006 Summer Tokyo Wonder Festival and 10th anniversary of the series, a rare find specifically from the event sponsored by the Kaiyodo manufacturing company. The other piece features Asuka in a scanty pajama shirt, created during the 20th anniversary of Evangelion's celebrated studio Gainax. This exact piece can be seen on page 221 of the book Ga-Netchu! The Manga Anime Syndrome. The figures measure 4.5" tall and 4.25" tall respectively, and each are comprised of two pieces (the figure and base). Both show very little handling or use, and they have been removed from the original packaging. The original packaging is included in this lot. The condition of the figures is Very Good to Fine.From the Glad Museum Collection.
