Mike Grell Warlord #116 and #117 Cover Color Separations and Color Guides Group of 4 (DC, 1987). Two different sets of production materials used to produce these fantastic Mike Grell covers. First there are the "color steps". This is where comics get the term "four color comics" from. There are four layers, each one for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black; each color represents a separate pass on an offset ink jet printer. Next are the color guides for each of the covers as well.
