Description
Mickey Mouse "Mousecar" Award (Walt Disney, 1955). The Walt Disney Studio equivalent of the Academy Awards "Oscar" is presented in this lot with a rare and highly coveted "Mousecar" award. This scarcely-given statue is even rarer than its sister award, the Duckster! Originally, this trophy was given by Walt Disney, who also conceived it, given to those who show commitment not only to the Disney company, but also to their community outside of it, such as Disney Legends Marc Davis and Dick Huemer. Representing the values of excellence, creativity, and community service that have been fundamental to Disney's mission since it started, this faux bonze award shows Mickey Mouse measuring about 6" tall, presented on a 5" x 3.75" wooden base. The award bears a custom plate on its base that reads "Mousecar 1950." In Very Good condition with minor handling wear.Auction Info
