How the Grinch Stole Christmas Cindy Lou Who Maquette and Related Items Group of 3 (MGM, 1966/2002-07). "Santie Claus, why? Why are you taking our Christmas tree? Why?" Little Cindy Lou, as we all know is no more than two, takes center stage in this group of items originally owned by Cindy Lou's voice - the First Lady of Animation, Miss June Foray (1917 - 2017). From the 1966 animated television special from Chuck Jones comes this original studio-used maquette of Cindy Lou Who in her classic pose. She was originally holding a red Christmas tree glass ornament that has sadly been lost, but the new owner of this treasure can have a replacement added by a professional restoration artist. Cindy Lou stands a mere 4" tall, not counting her wire antennae; she stands on a gray base measuring 3" across and about 1" tall. There's also a paper ornament with a printed image of blue-eyed Cindy Lou and the Chuck Jones name on a blue "ball" with an overall measure of 5" across and held in a 2002 Turner Enterprises folded Lucite hanger that measures 6" x 6.5". Finally, there's a 2007 McFarlane Toys Cindy Lou Who surrounded by her Christmas trimmings in an unopened plastic package that measures 7.5" x 8.25" at its widest points. The maquette is in Fair to Good condition due to the missing glass ornament, plus some mostly minor handling wear. The Turner piece has some handling wear on the Lucite holder, but the item is in Fine condition with very minor handling. The toy is in Like New-Mint in Package condition.From the June Foray Archives.
