Description
Harvey Famous Cartoons Promotional Advertisement Production Art and Print (Harvey Features Syndicate, 1969). Harvey comic books featured a roster of humorous characters, many of whom were also featured in animated cartoons. Here's a rare house ad with their biggest stars within a television oval, created for print use (possibly for TV Guide or similar local publications, or as an ad in issues of Harvey Comics publications). The ad features photostat images of Casper, Wendy, Casper's ghost horse Nightmare, the Ghostly Trio, Spooky, Sad Sack, Hot Stuff the Little Devil, Little Audrey; Buzzy Crow, Katnip the Cat, Herman the Mouse, Baby Huey, and Richie Rich. Of these, Sad Sack and Hot Stuff did not appear in animated cartoons, only in comic books! All images are photostats. The artboard is a sheet of heavy illustration board measuring 14.75" x 11.75", with an image area of 10.5" x 8.25". With the artboard is a clean-up print with a reduced image. The artboard is in Fair to Good condition with whiteout, handling wear, and toning of the stat images.Auction Info
