Description

Grim Natwick Signed Last Will and Testament (1939). Myron H. Natwick, known to most as Grim Natwick, was an instrumental figure in the history of animation. He is well-known for creating Betty Boop, though we worked for not only Fleischer Studios but also Ub Iwerks Studio, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walter Lantz Production, UPA, and the Richard Williams Studio. Natwick was a lead animator on Walt Disney's first animated feature film, serving as the primary animator for Snow White. This is Natwick's Last Will and Testament, signed by the artist on August 30th, 1939. The one-page will is also signed by James H. Culhane (better known as Shamus Culhane) and Maxine Marx Culhane. The page measures about 8.5" x 12.5", and it has two horizontal folds. It has been stapled to a sheet of blue paper. The will is in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear.
