George Pal's "Saturn" Award (Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror Films, 1975). The list of achievements by George Pal (1908 - 1980) in motion pictures is awe-inspiring, as loyal fans of his many films and animated Puppetoons will tell you. Mr. Pal's live-action science-fiction and fantasy films include many time-honored classics, like When Worlds Collide, The War of the Worlds, Tom Thumb, The Time Machine, and 7 Faces of Dr. Lao. Here is his "Saturn" Award for his final film, Doc Savage... The Man of Bronze, a hefty gold-toned trophy measuring 6.5" wide at the base, and 10" tall. This item was included in the George Pal Estate; a photo print of Mr. Pal with this and his many other awards is included. Handling wear, with minor discoloration. Very Good condition.
