Description

Dungeons & Dragons: Module #DA1 Adventures in Blackmoor (Basic) (TSR Inc., 1986) CGC NM+ 9.6 A+ Seal Grade. Single booklet distributed unattached to gatefold cover. Written by Dave Arneson and David J. Ritchie. Cover by Jeff Easley. Art by Jim Holloway.
The first module in the DA series, featuring locations and characters from D&D co-creator Dave Arneson's original Blackmoor campaign, which had existed since the early 1970s and served as a playtest setting for what would become Dungeons & Dragons. An unusual adventure, it is a mystery of sorts set in three different incarnations of the Comeback Inn at different points in the history of the Known World / Mystara. As discombobulating as that ay be, as the first official deep-dive into the realm it still provided details on the history of Blackmoor, a map that doubled the size of the kingdom, and stats for several notable NPCs. CGC notes, "Seal type: H-Overlap." CGC census 6/24: 1 in 9.6, none higher.
