Disneyland Park - "Moonliner Rocket Depicted in Flight" by Kevin & Jody SOLD-OUT Limited-Edition Replica (Walt Disney, 2010). "Visitors may experience the thrills that space travelers of the future will encounter when rocket trips to the moon become a daily routine." The "1955 Disneyland Park Moonliner Rocket Depicted in Flight" is a stunning salute to the towering Tomorrowland attraction, issued respectfully in honor of the 55th anniversary of Walt Disney's Disneyland Park! The TWA Moonliner Rocket to the Moon stood poised for "Blast Off" at the Disneyland Spaceport in Tomorrowland from 1955 to 1967. In honor of the 55th anniversary of Disneyland Park, the team of Kevin & Jody celebrated the memorable moon mission simulation with this magnificent mixed media resin and metal replica. This intricate model uniquely captures the rocket "in flight" with meticulous detail from its nose cone to its fins, and features a shiny and polished hull, decorated with the bold palette of corporate sponsor Trans World Airlines. To complete the display, "ship-shape" work of art is respectfully presented atop a museum-quality display base, curated with a small-scale attraction sign and illuminated with mini spotlights (requiring batteries; not included). Additionally, the model is embellished with a tiny window that simulates a most memorable scene - the Disneyland Spaceport sinking below passengers. Released at Disneyland Resort in 2010, this limited edition of 500 swiftly sold out, and has since been sought after by fans and collectors. Measuring 10'' x 6'' x 21'', this unnumbered piece exhibits signs of previous display and oxidation in the battery case but displays a Very Good condition. This model is accompanied by its decorative 13'' x 20' x 5'' box, which exhibits scuffs and wear, but displays a Good condition.
