Description

Disneyland - Haunted Mansion Bride Ghost Concept Drawing by Marc Davis (Walt Disney, 1968). This sheet of early exploratory conceptual drawings suggests facial expressions of the Bride, prepared by Marc Davis (1913 - 2000) in May of 1968, for the Haunted Mansion Attic Room. "The story was about this bride who was left standing at the altar," according to Walt Disney Imagineer Marc Davis. In this study, Davis roughly sketches expressions that evoke the tone of a woman scorned, each illustration contributing to the development of the timeless character that appears in Haunted Mansion Attic show scenes at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, and Tokyo Disneyland. Measuring 15.5" x 12.5", this sheet of artwork is in Very Good condition exhibiting minor creases and wear.
From the Disney Legend Inductees Marc and Alice Davis Archive.
