Description
Disney Character Cut-Out Book, Group of 2 (Various, 1933-37). What a find we have for Disney collectors with this lot! These wonderful, oversized Cut-Out books are among the hardest items to find in complete, unused condition. Our first offering is the Mickey Mouse/Minnie Mouse Cut-Out Doll Book, published by Saafield, in 1933. While the covers show a bit of light staining and minor discoloration, the pre-punched figures of Mickey and Minnie are complete and still attached, and all the interior outfits are completely intact. It measures 10" x 19.5", and is in Very Good condition. Even harder to find is the Donald Duck and Clara Cluck Cut-Out Book published by Whitman in 1937, featuring Donald with his original animated co-star, the Wise Little Hen. This incredible example measures a whopping 13.25" x 18.25", and is in Very Fine+ condition. The cut outs on the front and back covers are fully attached, and the thinner paper interiors are complete and uncut. As these colorful items were designed to be cut apart and played with by young children, finding intact copies in this day and age is nearly impossible -- unless you are lucky enough to be a Heritage bidder!
