Description

Corpse Bride Victor Van Dort Exhibition/Display Maquette/Figure (Warner Bros., 2005). This is an extremely RARE display maquette/figure of Victor Van Dort from the Tim Burton-written and directed stop-motion feature film Corpse Bride. Victor Van Dort was voiced by Johnny Depp. The display maquette was produced by master puppet makers and modelers Peter Saunders and Ian Mackinnon. The piece was created for display at the Tim Burton Exhibition at the 2020 Monstra/Lisbon Animation Festival in Portugal. The exhibition "Tim Burton - The Animation Puppets" is a tribute to some of the animation movies created by the director known for his gothic film-style. The beautifully detailed display maquette stands an impressive 24" tall. Crafted of resin and referencing original concept art, it was molded and hand-painted at Mackinnon & Saunders Studio in the UK, the same studio that created the stop-motion puppets for the film. Mackinnon & Saunders is one of Hollywood's leading puppet makers, and their amazing stop-motion puppets can be seen in Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022), Mars Attacks! (1996) and Isle of Dogs (2018) to name but a few. The maquette comes with a scroll that lays at Victor's feet on the 3" base. The puppet comes in the original specially crafted box. Presented in Very Good condition.
