Description
Alice in Wonderland Disney Merchandise Concept Art Group of 4 with Print Pair by Kevin Kidney (Kevin Kidney,1990s). "In my world, the books would be nothing but pictures." The curious world of Alice in Wonderland is the subject of this 4-piece archive of artwork with print pair created for production of some charming official Disney Merchandise. Among this small collection is concept art featuring the Queen of Hearts looking irate with her animal croquet set created for a Harmony Kingdom Box, a cheerier Queen of Hearts created for a Swarovski pin, a commemorative brass-cast key ring design featuring the Doorknob, and a delightful Cheshire Cat created for a coffee mug; also included a pair of prints for the "Tea for One" stacking pot and cup featuring the product design and headshots of the four characters appearing on it. The Queen's pin and Cheshire Cat are rendered in graphite on vellum with the Cat also featuring an additional staple-bound layer of colored pencil. The Queen's croquet drawing is rendered in graphite on heavyweight paper. The Doorknob is presented in mixed media on bond paper. The "Tea for One" print pair has also been staple-bound in the top left. Across the lot, these pieces range in overall size from 8" x 7" to 16.75" x 11" and all feature hand-written notes. Exhibiting expected handling and edge wear including the noted staples, overall this group is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
