Description

Aladdin Aladdin and Jasmine's First Kiss Rough Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1992). "Goodnight, my handsome Prince." "Sleep well, Princess." This is an original animation production rough production drawing featuring one of the most memorable kisses in Walt Disney animation history, between Aladdin and Jasmine of Walt Disney's Aladdin. Directly following the "A Whole New World" musical sequence on their magic carpet ride over the city of Agrabah, this first kiss occurs at the 1:02:10 mark of the film, with an extra bit of help from the magic carpet. This terrific scene planning drawing is full of wonderful production notes, and an animation timing chart for both characters in the top-right corner. Famously, Aladdin's Supervising Animator was the lauded Disney Legend Glen Keane, and Jasmine's Supervising Animator was the great Mark Henn. This drawing measures 17" x 12.5" and is in Good overall condition, with moderate wear from production use, including creases and small tears along the left side that were long-ago reinforced with tape along the back of the sheet due to this drawing's heavy use during production. There is also some yellow toning to the edges and handling wear. It's hard to imagine a better production drawing from Aladdin than this one, that so beautifully features one of the most memorable moments of the Disney Renaissance era.
