    Description

Merts and Riddle Horse-Drawn Hearse (c. late 1800s-early 1900s). Merts and Riddle Company of Ravenna, Ohio, were the premier horse-drawn carriage buggy builders in the US. They made wagons for the Union in the Civil War, and they introduced the funeral horse-drawn carriage around 1888. (Famed cowboy star Roy Rogers was taken to his final resting place in a Merts and Riddle white funeral carriage in 1998.) This is an original antique white horse-drawn hearse that was used for park display in the famous "Halloween Haunt" events during Knott's Scary Farm days. It has been modified over the years and some pieces are replacement parts. Original "Merts and Riddle Hearse Builders Ravenna, Ohio" tag is on the hearse, which is being sold "as is" and will require third party shipping. If you're looking for a truly creepy Halloween decoration for your home or business, this is the lot! Fair to Good condition.
