    Help America's Fighting Railroaders WWII Propaganda Poster (The New Haven Rail Road, c. 1942) (27" x 41") A dramatic nighttime scene of an engineer in gray illuminated by his orange, red, and yellow lantern; with bold lettering done in red, white, and yellow. During World War II the railroad companies were so inundated by their role in the war effort that they launched numerous campaigns to persuade the populace to buy coal at specific times in order to more efficiently employ their cargo trains on a seasonal basis. A partially restored poster that is linen backed and displays signs of use including light edge wear, creases, pinholes, very mild toning, and corner bumps. On line and in Very Good condition. Rolled.
