Forrest J. Ackerman Signed 1st World Science Fiction Convention Program (1939). Program book for the world's first science fiction convention, held July 2-4, 1939. Attendees included John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Jack Williamson, Harry Harrison, and editor and fandom founder Ackerman, who attended the convention with fanzine editor Myrtle "Morojo" Douglas in costumes designed by her -- an event considered the forerunner of modern cosplay.
