Enoch Bolles (attributed) Breezy Stories Cover Proof Set (Young Publ., 1939). Breezy Stories, a risqué pulp (1915-1949), was noted for its lush cover paintings of beautiful, seductive women. This lot contains press proofs for the cover of the January 1939 issue, featuring a somewhat more wholesome cover girl (consistent with the style of Bolles, a frequent contributor). Included is a set of progressive-color proofs, in four-color process. The logotype has been cut out of several proofs in the set, but an additional, loose full-color print is included, intact. For those who remember singer Danny O'Keefe's 1973 album, Breezy Stories, the title logo on this vintage print will be especially nostalgic. The loose print is in Very Good condition with edge damage that does not affect the 7.5" x 10" image area, which is suitable for framing.
