    Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Grinch Fireplace Tools Prop (Universal, 2000). Directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey, this was the first Dr. Seuss book to be adapted into a full-length feature film. It was box office hit and won the Academy Award for Best Makeup as well as nominations for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design. In this incredibly unique lot is the complete set of fireplace tools from Cindy-Lou Who's house. The five piece set includes four tools constructed of metal and resin which hang on custom sculpted hands attached to a metal stand. This whimsical film used prop is truly deserving of the label "Seussian". The set together stands approximately 45" tall and weighs 16 lbs. This one-of-a-kind piece is a must-have for any discerning Dr. Seuss or Grinch collector. Minor handling, wear, and nicks in the paint. Condition is Very Good.
