The Little Mermaid Books, Scripts, and Press Kits Group of 9 (Walt Disney, 1987 - 97). Disney's 28th animated feature film, The Little Mermaid was released to theaters on November 17, 1989 and is given credit by many for breathing life back into the art of Disney animated feature films. This lot contains nine assorted pieces of Little Mermaid ephemera including: a comic book (#3 of 4), a 1992 Calendar (still shrink wrapped), Two scripts (labeled "Forth Draft" and dated 1987), a pre-release black and white studio style guide (with early logo), a book of sheet music of the film's songs, a Point of Purchase sales kit, and three press kits ( two from the original release and one from the 1997 theatrical re-release.
