Description
Sleeping Beauty "Cast of Characters" Limited Edition Sericel (Walt Disney, 1997). Presented here as if once upon a dream, is a marvelous "Cast of Characters" limited edition sericel from Disney's 1959 animated classic, Sleeping Beauty. Created from a hand-painted original cel which used model sheets from the original production of the film as reference, this sericel was produced using a fine art screen-printing process which captures the original's stunning detail. It features all the major characters from the film, and was limited to a run of 5,000 editions which have been sold out for over 25 years. The characters Maleficent and her raven Diablo, Prince Phillip, Princess Aurora dressed as Briar Rose and surrounded by 5 forest creatures, Flora, Merryweather, and Fauna, the Queen, King Hubert, and King Stefan as well as the title for the film are all present. The characters, all full-figured, range in size from 0.75" x 0.5" to 9.25" x 7.5". The piece has been framed under Plexiglas to an overall measure of 39.25" x 18.25" with an aperture of 30.75" x 10". The sericel features a silver Disney seal in the lower right with the edition size, a Disney Certificate of Authenticity is also included. All frames are sold as-is.
