Description

Mickey Mouse "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Limited Edition Bronze Statue Artist's Proof (Walt Disney, 1994). Bill Toma has been an exclusive sculptor for Theme Park Bronzes for the Walt Disney Studio since 1980. He was one of a handful of artists chosen to release very limited edition pieces at the very first Disneyana Convention in 1992. This is the Bill Toma Bronze created for the 1994 Disneyana Convention. It showcases an embarrassed Mickey Mouse handing back the magic hat to Yen Sid after he is caught creating a great deal of chaos. This was issued in a quickly sold-out edition of only 100, but this particular piece is even more scarce: an unnumbered Artist's Proof. Usually, there are only a few AP versions made, often less than ten. The Bronze stands 7.5" on a beautiful marble base. Bill Toma has incised his name and AP on the back of the bronze. Fine condition.
