Mickey Mouse Animation Art Poster (Walt Disney, 1981). A stunning sequence of five animation drawings from the 1936 Disney short Thru The Mirror were used to produce this poster sold at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York city. This poster commemorated the 1981 Animations and Animators exhibit which ran from June to September that year. The drawings are from one of the few sequences worked on by a young Carl Barks. Barks is best know for his comic book work with Donald and Uncle Scrooge, so it's ironic that the Whitney chose this sequence to feature on the exhibit's poster. Mickey Mouse, the most famous Disney character worked on by the most famous of all the Disney Duck Artists. The poster measures 12.5" x 53", is rolled and shows light handling; otherwise Fine condition.
