    In Search of the Castaways Press Book (Walt Disney, c. 1962). "Only Walt Disney could tell this incredible Jules Verne adventure!" reads the cover of this book printed for Disney press and marketing exhibitors. With the success of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Walt Disney moved to adapt another Jules Verne classic, and the result was another "earthquake of entertainment!" as the cover of this book exclaims. Made to sell the idea of the film, the cover features illustrations depicting all the high adventure contained in the movie, from "caught in a plunging avalanche" to "carried off by a giant condor." Never meant for public sale, this piece is a wonderfully rare collectible. This 12" x 18" printing shows minor handling, and has a horizontal folding crease through the middle. Condition is Fair.
