Dispatch From Disney's World War II Digest #1 with Pin-Up and Disney War Bond (Walt Disney, 1943-44). This is the 32-page brochure published by Walt Disney Studios and sent to GI's in the service, with content produced by studio employees. There is an introduction from Walt, and a letter to "Joe" from Mickey Mouse. The 5.5" x 8" booklet is lavishly illustrated. Included with this pristine copy is the pull-out that is commonly missing, "Pin-Ups for Service Men from the Walt Disney Staff." Pin-Up girl artwork was done by Fred Moore, Bill Justice, and Milt Neil. Employees in the service are shown on the back. The Pin-Up is also pristine; it measures 10.5" x 15.5". Also included in this patriotic lot is a filled-out US Treasury Disney War Bond certificate with 22 Disney characters on the border (1944). Minor handling wear on the bond.
