Description
Disney Studios Television Animation Desk (Walt Disney, c. 1980s-90s). The Walt Disney Studio turned down television animation offers for almost 30 years. It came roaring back in the years of 1985 - 1997. The studio made The Wuzzles, followed by Adventures of the Gummi Bears and then the widely successful DuckTales. This string of success was followed with the highly popular "Disney Afternoon" block of shows: Goof Troop, Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, Darkwing Duck, and Bonkers. This unit also produced the dramatic Gargoyles series. Also coming out of this unit were feature film spin-offs for The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Lion King. This beautiful wood Disney 2-D animation desk came from the Disney Television Animation Studio in the Los Angeles area, but it is believed at one point was possibly part of the Orlando-based Disney Feature Animation group. This stunning desk measures 72" x 55" x 30". It has overhead wood shelves, three sets of drawers, and pull-out shelf on either side. It previously held a 16 field animation disc; it currently has a 12 field disc with no glass. The desk is sold as-is with no implied warranty or keys. It is one of the few from the Walt Disney Studios we have seen come up. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and could easily be repurposed as a piece of home décor that has an amazing history. Minor wear and tear, normal scrapes, dings and scratches from use. Overall Very Good condition.More Information: EDIT: Switched description with lot 96360
