Chesty and Coptie Post-WWII Newspaper Insert (Walt Disney, 1945). A piece of animation history and WWII history, the Disney studios created this newspaper insert for Los Angeles area newspapers encouraging readers to donate to the "Victory Chest" effort. Two specially created characters, Chesty the young volunteer and Coptie the helicopter, travel throughout Asia and Europe in a series of fold-out comic panels, spreading relief to servicemen and to locals in war-ravaged areas. Age-related yellowing, minor creases/ tears near edges, slight staining on front, Scotch tape affixed to all four corners. In Good condition.
