Description
Disney Studios Original Scripts Group of 9 (Walt Disney, 1954-62). Rare group of typed scripts and outlines, from the personal collection of longtime Disney story artist Joe Rinaldi (1914 - 1974). These are all in softcover folders, and are original working scripts, not later reproductions. Included: two copies noted as Outline of "Sleeping Beauty", one with added production notes (17 pages each); Three Tall Tales, a Wonderful World of Color episode from 1/6/1963 (cover is dated April 18, 1962, 10 pages); Cavalcade of Songs Prod. 5587 (from the Disneyland TV series, shown on 2/16/1955, cover dated Dec. 6, 1954, 60 pages); Babes in Toyland (dated October 8th, 1958, 18 pages); The Peter Tchaikovsky Story (from Walt Disney Presents, shown on 1/30/59, cover dated March 27, 1958, 54 pages) plus an earlier draft titled The Music Behind "Sleeping Beauty" (cover dated October 15th, 1957, 68 pages); The Poet and the Nightingale (outline for proposed Hans Christian Andersen biopic, never filmed, dated January 12, 1959, 17 pages); and Academy Award Songs Acts III-IV, dated November 2, 1954 (25 pages).
