    Description

Dick Tracy Siren Squad Car #1 with Flashing Light Toy in Original Box (Louis Marx and Company, 1949). This is the colorful Dick Tracy wind-up and lighted toy vehicle - in its original box - that was produced by Louis Marx and Company in 1949. Dick Tracy appears in the front window and is driving the car. Chief Pat Patton, Junior, and Sam Catchem are also seen in the windows. "Dick Tracy," a Dick Tracy Badge Symbol, "Squad Car #1" and "Police" appear on the hood and sides; license number "LM 52" is on the trunk at the back. Atop the roof is a light bulb in its yellow plastic housing. The wind-up motor is in working order and drives the car forward. The siren does not sound when the car moves on wind-up power. A "D" battery and new light bulb were installed and tested; the bulb glows faintly and does not flash. The electric connection is intact and may need cleaning or adjustment. The toy appears very nice with only minor wear and scratching, and one of the back wheels is worn. The box is complete with all flaps and is completely intact with some tears along the folds, and there is minor darkening and discoloration with a bit of pencil writing. This is a very presentable toy. Car and box are both in Fine condition.
