Description

Stan Lee Two Gun Kid #71 "Showdown with Jesse James!" Script Synopsis (Marvel, 1964). Stan Lee's original typed synopsis for "Showdown with Jesse James!" tees up a classic Western celebrity clash with a secret-identity twist. Jealous of the Two-Gun Kid's fame, Jesse James kidnaps Matt Hawk and Boom-Boom Brown to force the masked hero into a duel, never realizing Hawk and the Kid are one and the same. The premise was later drawn by Dick Ayers and George Roussos, with Lee's hand-typed breakdown serving as the story's Marvel-method starting point before final dialogue was added after the art was completed. The job number "X-734" is written at the top of the 8.5" x 11" page. Slight toning, minor edge tears, folding creases, light staining along the edges, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
From the Larry Lieber Collection.
