Stan Freberg's Winsor McCay Award (1992). The Winsor McCay Award is given out by the Annie Award committee, named in honor of pioneering animator and cartoonist Winsor McCay (Gertie the Dinosaur and Little Nemo in Slumberland). This award was first presented in 1972 and stands as one of the highest honors given to an individual in the animation industry, in recognition for career contributions to the "Art of Animation". Very few are ever offered for sale. The plaque reads, "1992 Winsor McCay Award Stan Freberg" and "For his distinguished lifetime contribution to the art of animation -- International Animated Film Society ASIFA- Hollywood." The award is 10" tall. Fine condition.
