Description

Mickey Mouse Weekly V2#67 (Odhams Press, 1937). This early British Disney publication features the first Donald Duck story originally created for a comic book. "Donald and Donna" began as a single page in this issue and became the first Donald Duck solo adventure and the first Donald Duck serial. The ongoing story was published in weekly episodes from May 15th to August 21st, 1937, with all parts drawn by William A. Ward. Donna Duck would go on to serve as an inspiration for Daisy Duck, before eventually becoming her own comic book character, and this predates the introduction of Donald's nephews and Daisy.
We've never seen this rare Disney landmark in over two decades selling comics, and Disney fans will not want to miss this incredible opportunity. This copy has numerous small tears, chips, and splits to the spine and exteriors, although the art and stories within are complete and readable. There is a minor chip at the bottom of the centerfold which intersects into the art of the "Bobby and Chip" strip. There are small stains and creasing throughout. In Good condition. Not listed in Overstreet.
