Jack Kirby The Kirby Portfolio Signed Numbered Limited Edition #317/500 (Dark Horse, 1996). As the introduction plate states, "Jack Kirby was perhaps the most influential and prolific comic-book artist of all time". The pieces in this oversized portfolio are very personal for two reasons... first, they represent Jack Kirby's spiritual beliefs (the plate "Jack's Version of God" makes that pretty clear), and second they were produced by him to hang in the family home for years. They were not released for publication until this portfolio. This portfolio contains limited prints of the original work as inked by long-time Kirby collaborator, Mike Royer. Rosalind Kirby hand-signed the introduction plate, which is numbered 317 of 500. The seven plates (five of Royer inked Kirby pieces, one introduction plate, and one featuring three images of just Kirby pencils) are contained in a fantastic hard-cover portfolio folder emblazoned with Jack's name in gold. The plates measure 23" x 16" and the folder is 24" x 17". In Excellent condition.
