    Chesley Bonestell Special Hugo Award (1974). The Hugo Science Fiction Achievement Award, presented to illustrator Chesley Bonestell (1888-1986), the "Dean of Astronomical Art." The Hugo Award is one of many honors bestowed upon this important artist, who worked on books, magazines, and in Hollywood (he contributed special effects art and technical advice on such films as The War of the Worlds and Conquest of Space). The award stands approximately 15.75" tall, and is in Very Good condition.
