"The Art of the Disney Store" Donald Duck and Pete Store Display (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). The very first Disney Store opened in Glendale, California on 3/28/87. The Disney store at the time was considered the first retail-tainment based store and would forever change modern day retailing and branding. The success of Disney Big Figs is said to have resulted from customers constant request to purchase the large Disney figures that served as decoration in the stores. This is a rare Pete and Donald Duck Disney Store display set that depicts Donald Duck being filmed by Pete. All of the figures including the camera stand measure approximately 3 feet tall. Rarely do these Disney Store display pieces ever come to market. Minor handling, overall condition is Very Good. Sold as-is.Auction Info
