"Enchanted Tiki Room" Disneyland Park Entrance Poster (Walt Disney, 1967). "At the Gateway to Adventureland" reads this original hand-pulled silk-screened Park Entrance poster for the "Enchanted Tiki Room." This is the 1967 version that had slightly different colors, design, and Tiki God image. This poster is a historic one. It was the original one that was on display for years at the Celebrity Sports Center in Glendale, Colorado. This Sports and Activity complex had Walt and Roy Disney as original investors along with a group that included Jack Benny, Bing Crosby, George Burns, Charles Laughton, Burl Ives, Art Linkletter, John Payne, Spike Jones, and Jim and Marion Jordan (radio's "Fibber McGee and Molly") among others. It was rumored that this complex was used for Disney training prior to the opening of Disney World in Florida. This complex boasted 80 bowling alleys, a pool, a water slide, an arcade room, bumper cars, a shooting gallery, slot car tracks, and a full restaurant. It was open from 1960 to 1994. The original poster is 36" x 54", mounted to a plywood-type backing, as it was displayed at the Celebrity Sports Center. This great poster was designed by Paul Harley, and similar images can be seen in the book The Poster Art of the Disney Parks by Danny Handke and Vanessa Hunt on page 36. This is a hard poster to find, especially with this historical provenance. Poster has handling and edge wear, a tear, and missing paper on the bottom border, under "Adventureland." Small holes in corners from previous mounting. Fair to Good condition.
