Description

"Cail-O-Scope" Nickelodeon Viewing Machine Group of 3 (1904). Trio of rare nickelodeon "peep show"-style viewers, produced by the Caille Brothers Company of Detroit; they were second only to Mills Novelty as the largest arcade machine producer. The Cail-O-Scope offered a 15 view show for the money, flopping photo cards in sequence. One of these three Knott's Berry Farm machines were originally set up to showcase "Views of World War I," while another featured "The San Francisco Earthquake." The topper on the third machine is missing. The machines are in dark oak cabinets with great silver trim, measuring 4' (no topper), 6', and 7' with toppers. Sold "as is" as non-working, with no keys, and no implied warranty. These are beautiful pieces of furniture in their own right, and would make a great restoration project. Good to Fair condition.
