The Golden Magazine File Copies Box Lot (Golden Press, 1966-69) Condition: Average VF/NM. These could well be called "pay copies," as they have handwritten notations by Western Publishing staff regarding whether the rights to individual text and pictures were purchased outright or for a single use, and in some cases listing the amounts paid to the contributing creators. Approximately 70 issues of this "magazine for boys and girls" are included here, and they're not all different (there's only one pay copy of each issue, of course). The contents are educational children's fare (the only comic-type material we found are some Little Lulu strip reprints). Most average VF/NM condition, though there's one coverless one and a couple of other lower-grade specimens. Not listed in Overstreet. From the Random House Archives.
