    Description

Fortune Magazine February 1930 First Issue (Paterson Parchment Paper Co., 1930). Condition NM-. Henry Luce started Fortune in 1930 and had priced it at a steep $1.00 per issue, but for buck, you got an oversize magazine (11.25" x 14") on creamy heavy paper, plus original art on a color cover, printed with a special process. Fortune was a huge gamble that, needless to say, paid off and became an important leg of the Time/Life media empire. This is the very first issue of the magazine. Not listed in Overstreet.
